Are you familiar with the c section surgery? Do you know why this is being done sometimes? This article will give you some information that you need to know.

As you all know a c section surgery is being done when a vaginal birth or a normal birth is not really possible or not safe for the child and mother. Usually this is being done while you are awake, but you are numbed to the feet from the chest. This is being done be giving the patient the spinal or epidural anaesthesia. The surgeon or the doctor usually will make a cut across the patient's belly which is just above the pubic party. The amniotic and the uterus will be opened and then the baby will be delivered.

The health care or the nurses will be the one to clear the nose and the mouth of the baby with fluids, while the umbilical cord will be cut and clamped. They will also ensure that the baby is stable and his or her breathing process is normal. The mother is still awake despite of the anaesthesia and she can see and hear her baby by then. During this type of delivery the father or any person who is related to the mother can be with her during the process.
